Mascha van der Voort
Mascha van der Voort has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Twente University, specialised in Traffic and Transport with a main interest in traffic behaviour. After finishing her Ph.D. project in 2001, she took up the challenge of co-defining the new Industrial Design of Twente University. As an associate professor of ‘Use Anticipation in Product Design’ she is responsible for those parts of the curriculum that teach human-product interaction and ergonomics. She also heads a research group aimed at developing design methods and tools supporting designers in order to actively anticipate the use of the product to be developed, in order to improve the interaction between user and product.
